    IMPORTANT!

    Please contact the International Office of your home university so that they can guide you through the process of coming to Salamanca, and to make sure that your intended studies meet the requirements for academic recognition at your home institution.

     

    Note. Students from Sciences Po are governed by their own specific agreement.

    Please read carefully and follow all the instructions below.

     

    PHASE 1: BEFORE ARRIVAL (JUNE)

    What to do?

    Step 1. From June onwards, you must complete your OLA on your home university’s EWP platform. At the links below you can download the lists of courses offered by the Faculty of Law, sorted by your field of study:

    Step 2. Once you have selected the courses, check the timetables published on the website of each programme to avoid scheduling conflicts.

    Note 1. The courses taught in English at the Faculty of Law belong to the Bachelor’s Degree in Global Studies; please verify their timetables and content at the link corresponding to that programme.

    Step 3. To complete your OLA, please follow these instructions:

    1. You may enrol in approximately 60 ECTS for a full academic year, or 30 ECTS for a single semester.
    2. The following may not be included in your OLA: Internships (Prácticas), the Bachelor’s Final Thesis (Trabajo de Fin de Grado) and the Legal Clinic (Clínica Jurídica).
    3. You may take courses from other faculties of the University of Salamanca, provided that at least 20% of your total course load (one course per semester as a minimum) is taken from a degree programme of the Faculty of Law.
    4. If your home university does not use the EWP platform, please send the duly completed PDF document, signed by you and by your International Coordinator, to coordinterderecho@usal.es.

    THE DEADLINE TO COMPLETE YOUR OLA IS 30 JUNE.

     

    PHASE 2: DURING YOUR STAY (SEPTEMBER TO JUNE)

    What to do?

    Step 1: When you arrive, please go to the Mobility Office (room 018) to obtain the signature on your arrival certificate (open Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 14:00 h).

    Step 2: Within the period set by the Mobility Office (room 018), register for the courses approved in your OLA. You may not attend any course without being officially registered for it in advance.

    Step 3: Fulfil your duties as a student.

    Step 4. At the end of your stay, please return to the Mobility Office (room 018) to obtain the signature on your departure certificate (open Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 14:00 h).

    Step 5. Transcripts of Records are processed by the Mobility Office (room 018) and sent to students by email.

    Exceptional cases:

    1.- OLA modifications

     

    a. OLA modifications are exceptional. Changes will only be accepted for the following reasons, and only if they can be verified:

    • Scheduling conflicts between courses.
    • Courses unavailable due to closure or because they are not on offer.

    b. All modifications must comply with the general OLA rules outlined above.

    c. Deadlines for modifications:

    • First semester: 1 September to 15 October
    • Second semester: 1 February to 15 March

    d. Any change must be reflected in the OLA, duly signed by you, by the International Coordinator of the Faculty of Law at the University of Salamanca, and by your home International Coordinator.

    e.Any changes made to your OLA must be reflected in your academic record. Therefore, you must visit the Mobility Office (room 018) to update it.

     

    IMPORTANT!

    Courses registered at the University of Salamanca may only be modified within the deadlines set by the Mobility Office (room 018).

     

    2.- Reduction or extension of stay.

    a. Procedure:

    Step 1. Request the reduction or extension from the International Office of the Faculty of Law.

    Step 2. Inform your home university.

    Sending an email:

     What to do?

    • Identify yourself: Always begin with your degree programme, full name and home university.
    • Be consistent: Always write from the same email address you use on the EWP platform.
    • Plan ahead: Write well in advance of the universities’ deadlines. Plan your communications around the academic calendar of the Faculty of Law and of the University of Salamanca (https://usal.es/calendario-academico-usal).
    • Be polite.

    Avoid delays: what not to do?

    • Do not send two emails within the same week asking about the same matter.
    • Do not write to the International Coordinator’s personal email address.
    • Do not send the same email to multiple addresses at the same time.
